Oscar Maitolit

Oscar Landon Maitolit (March 14, 1295 - May 21, 1364) was a Picketralian economist, philosopher, and political party founder. Most known for founding the Maiman Party alongside Orlene Mangrese, he is also widely considered to be the father of Picketralian socialism, known as "Maitolitism".

Early life and education

Maitolit was born on March 14, 1295, in Frogton-by-Farm, Picketralia. His father, Landon Maitolit, was a second mate onboard several Picketralian Copper Mining and Extraction Company (PCMEC) ships that would run routes from Stimpton, Acrul Island, and Tradeland. His mother, Voldoria Maitolit (nee. Magna), accompanied her husband on journeys, and they would often tag along with Landon to save money. This meant Maitolit was exposed to many different cultures. He was exposed to the economic ideas of his father's shipmates.
