Glassmith Bridge
The Glassmith Bridge, also known as the Glass Bridge, was a bridge connecting western Acrul Island to Morthalia. The bridge was made of tempered glass and was made by the Glassmith family in 1182 to connect their glass farm to Acrul Island for trade. It was destroyed in 1387 when the mast of a trade ship headed to Templand collided with the bridge, causing it to shatter. The bridge was rebuilt using materials more suited toward bridge building.
In 1247, the Morian Post Office named many previously unnamed rural roads for ease of travel and mail delivery. They often named the road after a local family or nearby landmark. The road that runs over the bridge was named Glass Bridge Road, and even after the bridge was demolished, it retained the name. The road runs from Acrul to Bridge Island City.
