February 15, 1383 attacks

The February 15, 1383 attacks, also known as 2/15/1383 in Picketralia or 15/2/1383 in Moria, was a series of bombings carried out by the Grand Duchy of Flourtess. There were two main incidents: a group of suicide bombers (Frough and Ikih Cordoceah, both skilled Flourtesian pilots) flew a glider into the Baron Academy main dormitories building, the tallest building in the world, leading to its eventual collapse, in Moria, and the explosion of the Central Battery, a large battery holding lightning-acquired electricity harnessed from Deskwood Tower, which was also bombed, in Picketralia, by Abel Icia, a Flourtesian soldier.

Background

The Central Battery is a large redstone battery near to the Historic Pik Temple in Stimpton, Picketralia, Owned and operated by the Deskwood Electricity Company of Picketralia, it harnesses electricity from a large metal tower several meters to the right, that sits on the Stimpton River, and provides power to roughly 4% of the country, of which pay for the expensive service.

It had previously been a target as part of the 9/18 attacks on Stimpton, that were carried out on September 18, 1370, by the Gulfemeyar Order, however, wasn't damaged, and instead, the Historic Pik Temple was damaged, and the battery had suffered minor damage.

Days leading up to the attack

Icia had arrived in Stimpton on February 9, and stayed in a newly constructed, yet vacant home, at 183 Nitwit Court, in Stimpton. The owners of the home, an elderly couple, were still packing their things after relocating from a home in South Stimpton. This is where his main base of operations was, and he was in frequent contact with the Flourtesian Special Forces via the Picketralian Postal Service. He did not know of his target yet, but he knew it was going to be in Stimpton.

On February 10, he attended the opening ceremony of the new bank building, located also on Nitwit Court, which had been damaged 12 years prior in the 9/18 attacks. King Mason I spoke at the opening ceremony, and it is said that Icia had received inspiration to bomb the bank. However, after consulting with the Special Forces via mail, they said, "such an act would be so incredibly redundant, as to not a single fortune is kept in that bank."

Annoyed with the Special Forces refusing almost every proposal to bomb several different buildings and landmarks (Calyur Chapel, Gatebridge Chapel, Frogton Palace), they finally settled on the Capitol Building on February 14th, however, the message of affirmation to bomb the building did not reach Picketralia in time, leading Icia to bomb the Central Battery instead.
